Henryk Milcarz

Henryk Mieczysław Milcarz ( born July 21, 1950 in Zagnańsk ) is a Polish politician, a local politician and since 2005 member of the Sejm in the V. and VI. Election period.

He earned a degree at the Warsaw School of Economics. From 1978 to 1983 he was employed in a factory for laboratory equipment and industrial installations in Kielce, until 1992, he headed the association for mutual assistance in agriculture in Samsonów. After that, he was vice chairman of the Kielce wastewater company and in 2003 he became its chairman.

He was a member of the Polska Zjednoczona partia Robotnicza ( Polish United Workers' Party - PZPR ), later he joined the Socjaldemokracja Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej ( Social Democracy of the Republic of Poland - SdRP ), he became a member of the Sojusz Lewicy Demokratycznej ( Democratic Left Alliance - SLD) 1999. He also served as Chairman of the Woiwodschaftsrats the SLD for the Świętokrzyskie. From 1998 to 2005 he was Chairman of the County Council in the powiat Kielecki.

In the 2005 parliamentary elections, he was for the SLD for the first time a Member of the Sejm. In the 2007 parliamentary elections, he was on the list of Lewica i Demokraci - selected ( Left and Democrats LiD ) with 7,960 votes for the electoral district of Kielce again in the Sejm. He is a member of the Sejm commissions for economic and environmental protection.

On 22 April 2008 he became a member of the newly formed group Lewica.
