Heo Yong-Mo

Heo Yeong -mo (born 21 April 1965, Suncheon ) is a retired South Korean boxer.

1982 reached Heo at the World Championships in Munich in the semi-finals Light Flyweight (-48 kg), which he compared Ivaylo Marinov, Bulgaria ( 4-1 ), lost and thus won a bronze medal. In the same year he won in Seoul, the Asian Championships and the Asian Games Delhi. At the 1984 Olympic Games Heo won flyweight (-51 kg) against Fayek Gobran, Egypt ( RSC 1 ), and Efreen Tabanas, Philippines (4:1 ) before the quarter-final against Eyüp Can, Turkey, he (4:1) lost.

In 1985 Heo Bantamweight (-54 kg) at the Asian Championships and won the silver medal. In 1987 he was again champions of Asia. After 1988, the Olympic qualification missed, he finished his career. Heo now works as a teacher in Yeosu, Jeollanam -do.
