Herbert Blöcker

Herbert Blocker ( born January 1, 1943 in Fiefharrie, † February 15, 2014 in Elmshorn ) was a German eventing rider, who won three Olympic medals in three Olympics start.

Career

Herbert Blocker from the Riding and Driving Club Elmshorn in 1971 behind Harry Wiseman second in the German Championship. 1973 at the European Championships in Kiev Blöcker occupied the second place in the individual competition and won by the German team in the team competition. At the World Cup in 1974, he won Albrant together with Martin Plewa, Horst Karsten and Kurt Mergler the bronze medal. As a German champion of 1974 and 1975 Blöcker was also a member of the team that won the bronze medal at the European Championships in 1975. At his first Olympic participation in 1976 in Montreal Blöcker rode with Albrant to 13th place in the individual standings.
