Herbert von Karajan Music Prize

The Herbert von Karajan Music Prize is a music award, which is awarded annually by the Cultural Foundation of the Festspielhaus Baden -Baden since 2003. He is endowed with 50,000 euros.

Outstanding musicians and ensembles receive the award, the prize money is earmarked for the use of musical youth development. It is therefore named after Herbert von Karajan, who dedicated his life for the promotion of talent. The purpose of the award winners can be determined in consultation with the Jury.
