Herciana Matmuja

Herciana Matmuja or Hersi (born 1 February 1990 in Kukes ) is an Albanian singer.

Hercianas family moved when she was still young, to Tirana. She sings since she was eight and had as a child television appearances. She participated in numerous music competitions for young people. In 2005, she had completed the entrance examination for the Academy of Arts in Tirana. Since 2005, she studied classical singing in Rome, where two of her aunts live and she is currently residing.

In 2006, Hersi for the first time on Festivali i Këngës, the most important music competition of Albania, part. She was awarded as the best young talent and tithe. In 2010 she came eleventh in the Festivali i Këngës. Less successful it was in 2011, when she was no points with the song Aty ku më le. 2012 Hersi was at the 51st Festivali i Këngës third with the song Kush ta dha Kete Emer? . In the years 2011 and 2012 she had also participated in the television show Kenga Magjike.

On 28 December 2013, it won the 52 Festivali i Këngës. As winner will represent Albania with the song Zemërimi i nje nate ( wrath of the night) at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen. The song is a mix of pop and R 'n ' B. In Copenhagen she will sing the song in English under the title One Night 's Anger.
