Hereroland

Hereroland described the settlement area of the Herero in Namibia. Traditionally, this is the region of Waterberg. However, one can not speak of a clearly defined Hereroland, because in the same country representatives of many other ethnic groups live.

Hereroland was also the name of the homelands of the Herero during the administration of South Africa. It was located east of the Waterberg in central Namibia, an area which today is roughly equivalent to the constituency Tsumkwe.
