Herman Ferdinandus Maria MÃ¼nninghoff

Herman Ferdinandus Maria Münninghoff OFM ( born November 30, 1921 in Woerden ) is a retired Bishop of Jayapura.

Life

Herman Ferdinandus Maria Münninghoff joined the Congregation of the Franciscan and received on 15 March 1953, the ordination.

Pope Paul VI. appointed him on May 6, 1972 Bishop of Djajapura. The Archbishop of Semarang Justinus Cardinal Darmojuwono donated to him on 10 September of the same year the episcopal ordination; Co-consecrators were Herman Tillemans MSC, Archbishop of Merauke, and Alphonsus Augustus Sowada OSC, Bishop of Agats.

On 29 August 1997, Pope John Paul II accepted his resignation age-related.
