Hermann Hagedorn

Hermann Hagedorn ( born July 18, 1882 in Staten Iceland, New York, † July 27, 1964 in Santa Barbara, California ) was an American author and biographer.

Hermann Hagedorn studied at Harvard University, the University of Berlin and at Columbia University. From 1909 to 1911 he was teacher of English Language at Harvard University.

Became known Hagedorn especially as the friend and biographer of Theodore Roosevelt and John Gillespie Magee. After Roosevelt's death in 1919, he contributed to the founding of the Theodore Roosevelt Association ( TRA ), the secretary, and he was chairman in 1919 to 1957.
