Hermann Pluddemann
Hermann Freihold Plüddemann ( born July 17, 1809 in Kolberg, † June 24, 1868 in Dresden ) was a German history painter and illustrator.
Life
Plüddemann was a pupil of the painter Carl victory in Magdeburg, Carl Joseph Bega in Berlin (1828 ), and by Friedrich Wilhelm von Schadow in Dusseldorf (1831). Until 1846 he was a member of the master class with von Schadow in 1848 he moved to Dresden as a professor. The focus of his work as a history painter Frederick Barbarossa and Christopher Columbus were.
