Hermenegildo da Costa Paulo Bartolomeu
Hermenegildo da Costa Paulo Bartolomeu or short Geraldo (* November 23, 1991 in Luanda ) is an Angolan footballer who at Brazilian club Coritiba FC is since 2010 under contract, but currently plays on loan at Paraná Clube.
Career
Association
Geraldo played in youth Norberto de Castro, Rio Claro FC and Andraus Curitiba, before he was poached by Coritiba FC in their youth department in 2009. On 8 May 2010, he completed his professional debut in the Série B in the 1-3 defeat against Náutico Capibaribe when he came off the bench midway through the second half. His first goal he scored on 24 July in a 2-1 2-0 victory over Sport Recife. At the end of the 2010 season Geraldo could celebrate with Coritiba winning the Série B and promotion to the Series A. He was finally allowed to make his debut in the highest Brazilian League by winning the title on May 22, he appeared as a substitute in the match against Atlético Goianiense ( 0:1) for Lucas Mendes.
On July 4, 2012 Geraldo was awarded to the second division Paraná Clube.
National
Geraldo finished his international debut on 13 May 2010 the 0-1 defeat against Mexico when he came on in the 53th minute for Minguito. His next three matches against Uruguay, Uganda and Kenya were all lost. On 28 December 2012, he was nominated by coach Gustavo Ferrin in the preliminary squad for the African Cup of Nations 2013. On 8 January 2013, made it into the final 23 -man squad for the tournament.
He came in all three group games used, but resigned with his team in the group stage as Table from.
