Herodion of Patras

Herodion of Patras was one of the seventy disciples.

Life

He is mentioned in Romans (Rom 16,11 EU), where Paul calls him his kinsmen. Herdion should be then became Bishop of Patras, Patara or Neai Patrae in Thessaly, where he had been subjected to persecution by Jews. Finally he was executed by the sword. Herodion is venerated as a saint; His feast day is on April 8.
