Heuberg (Chiemgau Alps)

The Heuberg is a viergipfliger mountain in Bavaria, which is counted among the Chiemgau Alps. He is on the edge of the Inn Valley at Nußdorf am Inn. The as Heuberg ( 1338 m) designated main summit is an easy hike. In contrast, the other three peaks require that wall of water ( 1367 m), the Kitzstein ( 1398 m) and the Kindl wall ( 1228 m) slip resistance in suspension of terrain.

Name

The Heuberg takes its name from a grassy hill between Kitzstein and water wall, who has served earlier the farmers for hay harvest. Even today, it provides wonderful grass and hay for cattle on the pasture or in the barn during the winter.

To the north below the summit to 1,060 meters are the Daffneralmen which are farmed year round. There are several hiking trails to the Daffneralmen and thus also on the Heuberg. A trail leads from Nußdorf on the forest road about Kirchwald to Daffneralmen (2 hours ), and another by Samer Berg ( inn scent) on the Long Forward (1 hour). The ascent of the mountain pastures, passing by a wall of water, still takes another 45 minutes. From the top of Heuberg the view extends to the Inn valley, for Kranzhorn and the Mangfallgebirge.
