Geography

Heudeber is located in the hilly Harz mountains near Wernigerode.

Mulmke was the district of the former municipality Heudeber.

History

On September 13, 936 part of the revenue of the place Hadeburgi were transferred by King Otto I the convent of Quedlinburg, which simultaneously represents the documentary first mention of the place.

On January 1, 2010, the formerly independent communities Heudeber, Abbenrode, Danstedt, Langeln, Schmatzfeld, Stapelburg, Veckenstedt and aquatic life merged to form a unified community Nordharz.

Coat of arms and flag

The coat of arms was approved on 21 November 1995 by the regional council of Magdeburg.

Blazon: " Split of black and silver; forward a rooted golden poplar two golden wave beams, rear upright swept to the left four red deer ended rod. "

The municipality colors are gold ( yellow) - Black.

The golden poplar symbolized as a landmark, nature and rural character of the community, the two golden wave bands represent the so-called 'acid fountain " and the former stream is where the municipality is located. And the congregation colors yellow and black were common, this tincture is selected. The red four -ended rod Hirsch recalls the county Regenstein, to which the community once belonged.

The coat of arms was designed by the Magdeburg Heraldikerin Erika Fiedler.

The flag is yellow - black ( 1:1) streaked with the municipal coat of arms placed.

Culture and sights

Church

The Church in Heudeber is a typical Schinkel building. The neo-classical masonry was built in the period 1834-1838 on the basis of Schinkel's normal church. In 2006, Golden Ball of the church was renewed.

Traffic

Along the municipal boundary between Heudeber and Danstedt is the same station Heudeber - Danstedt. This is crossing or starting point of the routes Halberstadt - water life - Vienenburg and Heudeber - Danstedt - Wernigerode Vienenburg and the small railway Heudeber - Mattierzoll. It is after the closure of some sections only a combination of Halberstadt Wernigerode to Vienenburg. In the resort keep the Harz transport.
