Hideo Yoshino

Hideo Yoshino (Japanese吉野 秀雄, born July 3, 1902 in Takasaki, † 13 July 1967) was a Japanese writer.

Yoshino began studying at Keio University, but he had to cancel due to tuberculosis disease. During this time he began to write under the influence of Masaoka Shiki and Ito Sachio Tanka verses and became a pupil of Aizu Yaichi.

In 1926 he published his first volume of poetry gishi Tenjo, the more like Taikeishu, Sobaishu and Kansenshu followed. In addition, he also wrote essays such Yawarakana Kokoro and Korokono Furusato. Due to his poor health, he always had little contact with the contemporary tanka school around the magazine Araragi, but developed his own trained to poets such as Masaoka Shiki Ryokan and style.
