High Franconian German

Upper Franconian is a German dialect, which belongs to the Franconian dialects and is spoken in the transition zone between the Central German and Upper German. The dialect is spoken around Nuremberg, Karlsruhe, Erlangen, Fürth, Heilbronn, Würzburg and Plauen in Germany, in a smaller area in France and at least historically in Bohemia in the Czech Republic.
