Hijuk is a Bantu language and is spoken by about 400 people in Cameroon ( census 1992).
It is spoken in a village area southwest of Bokito Mbam in the district in the province center.
Classification
Hijuk is a Northwest Bantu language and belongs to Bafia group that is classified as Guthrie Zone A50.
Approximately 45% of the vocabulary have similarities with the vocabulary of the language Bafia, approximately 84 % of the Bassa language.
