Hikmet Temel Akarsu

Hikmet Temel Akarsu (* 1960 in Gümüshane ) is a Turkish novelist and short story writer and satirist. He grew up in Istanbul and studied architecture at the Istanbul Teknik Universitesi.

Literary work

He produced on all literary fields such as Essayen, articles, reviews, games and screenplays. Not only his series novels, but also his satirical and critical writings found favor in society. His novels in which he portrays the difficult years of Turkey, left a melancholy flavor. His series of novels, such as " Kayıp Kusák " ( The Lost Generation ), " İstanbul Dörtlüsü " ( İstanbul Quartet) and " ölümsüz Antikite " ( Eternal Antiquity) issued by the prestigious publishing houses in Turkey. His writings appeared in many prestigious literary journals, including in " Varlik ", " gösteri ", " radical KITAP ", " Cumhuriyet KITAP " and " Yasak Meyve ". At times, he also wrote newspaper articles.

With his radio play " Calinan Tez " ( Stolen thesis ), he received an award from the Turkish Radio TRT. His novella " Babalar ve Kızları " ( fathers and daughters ) was published in 2005 in İnkılap publisher. His first novel for young adults " Güzelçamlı'nın Kayıp Panteri " ( Lost Panther Güzelçamlı ) was published in 2006 by Can Yayınları. His radio play " Taşhan " was sent in eight chapters in broadcasting TRT 1 between 14 and 22 July 2006. He is a member of the Pen Club, Turkish Union of Writers and Architects.
