Hila Bronstein

Hila Bronstein ( born July 26, 1983 in Tel Aviv, Israel) (Hebrew: הילה ברונשטיין ) is a German -Israeli pop singer. She became known in 2001 as lead singer of the R & B / Pop group Bro'Sis.

Biography

She was born as the second daughter of Amir Bronstein, an Israeli drummer and songwriter and his wife Mary -Christine, an African singer, in Tel Aviv. In 1985, at the age of two, she left with her family Israel. After a one-year stopover in Amsterdam ( Netherlands), the family finally settled in Frankfurt am Main ( Germany ) down. There she grew up trilingual (Hebrew, German and English) and attended the Model School, where she participated in theater and dance courses. At age 13, she entered with a song by Whitney Houston on in " Mini Playback Show".

2001, Bronstein decided on a casting for the second season of the show Popstars participate. With Show me Heaven by Tina Arena was able to convince the jury of themselves.

In the "Airport Show" in Dusseldorf they had to deal with the other candidates initially a dance training with Detlef Soost and then a vocal training with vocal coach Artemis Gounaki undergo before it was decided that she was allowed to participate in Ibiza at the two-week workshop.

Here remained of the 33 candidates at the end of the workshop, three female and five male candidates left who moved into a loft in Munich. In a special broadcast on 11 November 2001 Bronstein was chosen by the jury members Soost and Christensen were the first in the band Bro'Sis. The debut album Never Forget ( Where You Come From ) and the debut single I Believe been a great success and were able to place No. 1 on the German charts. In addition to the band Bronstein worked as a model for magazines such as Max, JOY Celebrity, yam and Maxim. She was romantically involved with her short-term bandmates Faiz Mangat. After the departure of Indira Weis, the band released the album Days of Our Lives and Showtime before they finally broke up in 2006.

Solo career

After the end of Bro'Sis they were separate, smaller concerts in the Frankfurt area and was part of Me and the Heat, a cover band from Baden- Württemberg and sang with them at various festivals and fairs. Her first solo project in 2005 was the duet Why with Curse, for the second part of the Victory series by DJ Kitsune. For the mixtape series of opium Rasul appeared on Opium Vol.2 in October 2006, the song Thank U. On her MySpace profile put them in November 2006, her first solo song Loosing myself before. In April 2008, Bronstein released the duet A chance she had taken with the German rapper Franky Kubrick for his album Drama King. In October 2008, Bronstein published again for the Victory series by DJ Kitsune their first German -language song pursuit of happiness, a duet with rapper Mnemonic. The collaboration came by their producers BA ( TheGERMINATORS ) concluded, with Hila had written the song Loosing myself.

In addition, Bronstein is also active as a songwriter. The album Moonrise Loona contains the song No One Loves You ( Like I Do ), which she wrote a few years earlier from lovesickness.
