Hilary Benn

Hilary James Wedgwood Benn (* November 26, 1953 in Hammersmith, London) is a British politician of the Labour Party and was from 2007 to 2010 Minister for the Environment, Food and Rural Areas in the cabinet of Gordon Brown. He is the son of former politician Tony Benn.

The British Parliament, he is already on since 1999. His constituency is central Leeds. From 2003 to 2007 Benn was also an International Development Minister in the cabinet of Tony Blair.

Since the party is in opposition, he has been a group leader at the Shadow Cabinet of Ed Miliband.

Benn is married and has four children.
