Geographical location

Hilber village is located in Ronneburger agricultural and mining area; north border the municipality at the renovated mining areas of Wismut. East of the community originates in the Wipse stops blinking, which flows through the town to the west and ends at Gera - Liebschwitz in the Weisse Elster. East of the municipality runs the regional watershed between the White Elster and splices. From Hilber village you can reach in a few minutes Gera, Weida or Ronneburg. History

It is believed that the establishment and colonization by Mildenfurth monastery at Wünschendorf in the 12th century took place. The place Hilber village was divided for a long time in four different states. Even in the mid -19th century were 13 houses with 85 inhabitants of the duchy of Saxe-Altenburg, two houses with 15 inhabitants of the Grand Duchy of Saxe-Weimar -Eisenach, three houses with 18 inhabitants to the principality of Reuss younger line and six houses with 36 inhabitants of the Kingdom of Saxony ( Ziegenhierdsches Ländchen ). After the local elections of 27 June 2004, a turnout of 73.3 %, the council was made up as follows:

Mayor

In the mayoral election on June 12, 1994 Erhard villages received 76.8 % of the valid votes in the first ballot. He was confirmed in the election on 13 June 1999 with 93.9 % of the votes in the first ballot. In the election of 27 June 2004, there were no opposing candidates. The choice of 6 June 2010 yielded again the re-election with 90.1 % of votes.

Culture and sights
