Hilde Drexler

Hilde Drexler ( born December 1, 1983 in Vienna) is an Austrian judoka.

Biography

Hilde Drexler began her athletic career at the Judo Club Colop Samurai Vienna and has scored a national title in the offspring. After high school, she began to study German in Vienna. In 2000 it was European Junior Champion and a year later won the silver medal. In 2009, she competed at the European Championships, but could not place itself. At the European Championships 2011 in Istanbul, however, she won the battle for bronze against Alice Schlesinger of Israel. 2011 it reached three times the fifth place at major events, namely the Grand Slam Rio de Janeiro, the World Cup in Sao Paulo and the World Cup in Miami within two weeks. At the World Championships in Paris, she reached the seventh place after three wins and two defeats. Drexler was nominated for the Sports Star 2011 her hometown of Vienna, but was at the ceremony on September 1, 2011 empty-handed.

The year 2012 was all in preparation for the Olympic Summer Games in 2012, for which they had qualified. After a victory in the first round, she lost to Alice Schlesinger and retired.
