Hilde Krahl

Hilde Krahl, real name Hildegard Kolacny (born 10 January 1917 in Brod ad Save ( Slavonia ), † June 28, 1999 in Vienna) was an Austrian actress.

Life

Hildegard Kolacny was born the daughter of the railway engineer Alois Kolacny and his wife Paula, born piston to the world. After graduating in 1935 in Vienna, she completed in 1936 drama school Lambert Offer. Hilde Krahl debuted in 1936 on the Viennese cabaret literature at the Naschmarkt. It was followed by appearances at the Raimund Theatre and at La Scala Vienna. The next stop was the theater in the Josefstadt, where she was employed until 1966. From 1938 to 1944 she was also at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin on stage.

Next to the theater and the cinema was one of their field of activity. In 1936, she first appeared in the film The Fairy Doll on. More films followed, the most successful was the film adaptation of Alexander Pushkin's story The Postmaster by Henry George (1940 ), as it represented his daughter Dunja.

After the war, she continued her career. She has been engaged in many theaters and supporting roles in films. Particularly impressive was her portrayal of Bertha von Suttner, the first Nobel Peace Prize winner, in Heart of the World ( 1952). Later, she also appeared on television, including the series The dear family.

From 1944 closed marriage with director Wolfgang Liebeneiner the daughter Johanna Love One who is also an actress comes from.
