Hildegard Goss-Mayr

Hildegard Goss -Mayr ( born January 22, 1930 in Vienna) is an Austrian peace activist and writer.

Life

Hildegard Goss -Mayr studied in Vienna and in New Haven ( USA) philosophy, philology and history. 1953 she became the first woman doctorate at Vienna University "sub auspiciis ", the highest grade in Austria.

From 1953 she devoted her life on behalf of the International Fellowship of Reconciliation of non-violent Konfliktlösung.1958 she married the French peace activist Jean Goss; the parental couple had twins in 1960.

Services

In 1962, Goss -Mayr their work in Latin America for the development of non-violent liberation movements. She was a consultant Dom Hélder Câmara of. Even the Argentine Nobel Peace Prize Adolfo Pérez Esquivel, Maria explained influenced by Goss -Mayr. Hildegard Goss -Mayr is the honorary president of the International Fellowship of Reconciliation and a member of the Honorary Patronage Committee of the International Coalition for the Decade for a Culture of Peace and Non-Violence for the Children of the World.
