Hindi Zahra

Hindi Zahra ( born 1979 in Khouribga, Morocco; actually Zahra Hindi ) is a French-Moroccan singer. Their repertoire consists of songs in English and in Berber.

Biography

Hindi Zahra is the daughter of a Moroccan woman and a Frenchman. At 15, she left school and moved in with her ​​father, a former army members, to Paris. At the age of 18 years she worked at the Louvre. In addition, she wrote her first lyrics and melodies. In 2005, Zahra, who had taught as Multinstrumentalistin all the instruments himself, 50 songs composed. 2010 was issued eleven of them on the debut album released by the label Blue Note Handmade. The video for the opening track Beautiful Tango was made by French director Tony Gatlif. The song Stand Up was chosen in 2010 for an advertising campaign of the Western Union Bank. In February 2011, she won the Victoires de la Musique Music Award for Best World Music Album In May 2011, she performed at the Paris Olympia and in June 2011 at La Défense Jazz Festival.

The song " Imik si Mik " from the album Handmade in 2013 was used by Chanel in a commercial with Gisele Bundchen.
