Hinglish

As Hinglish tendency is called in modern India to take words from the language of the former colonial power Britain and the contemporary world power USA.

Examples are: " gari " for " car " of English "car ", " market" for the market instead of derived from the Persian "Bazaar " ( German: Bazaar / Market ), "mum" and "dad " instead of Hindi " matr "and" pita "/" baab ". Typical of Hinglish is also the use of the word "less " instead of "fewer ", for example " I have less children" instead of correct English "I have Fewer children" and the phrase "thank you please" instead of correct English "thank you ". Culturally say English-speaking Indians to friends and acquaintances "brother ", British or Australians would the term " mate" or use " buddy".

The Hindi language had evolved from the 4500 years old Sanskrit, which still today is the language of the priests and scholars, the Brahmins, comparable to the status of Latin in Europe. In the period of the Arab Mogul empires Hindi adopted many words from Persian and Arabic, until the time of British colonial empire, the British took over this role. Most recently, the acquisition of English words in Hindi proceeds much faster, by the importance of software development and call centers for the modern Indian economy and by the influence of the Internet.
