Hino da Carta
The Hymno da Carta ( Portuguese for: anthem of the Charter), was officially adopted in May 1834 national anthem of the Kingdom of Portugal .. It replaced the Hymno Patriótico. It was composed by the Portuguese King Peter I.. " Carta " stands for the Constitutional Charter, which had given the king Portugal. After the country became a republic in 1911, the anthem was replaced by A Portuguesa.
