Hinunangan, Southern Leyte

Hinunangan is a Philippine municipality in the province of Southern Leyte on Leyte Island. It has 28,415 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 40 barangays. The community is described as partly urban. Hinunangan is located about 144 km east of the provincial capital of Maasin City and can be reached from there via the Maharlika Highway via the municipality of Sogod. The two coastal barrier islands of San Pedro and San Pablo are on the management area of ​​the municipality.

In the village there is a campus of the Southern Leyte State University.
