Action

Background

Hirak Rajar Deshe was published on 19 December 1980. It is the sequel to Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne (1968). Both films were based on the children book Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne by Satyajit Ray's grandfather Upendrakishore Raychowdhury. Satyajit Ray's son Sandip in 1991 completed the planned trilogy with Ray Goopy Bagha Phire Elo.
