Hiroe Yuki

Hiroe Yuki (Japanese汤 木 博 恵, Yuki Hiroe; * November 15, 1948 in Aki -gun ( Hiroshima ); † 7 September 2011 in Tokyo, married Hiroe Niinuma, Japanese新 沼 博 恵, Niinuma Hiroe ) was a badminton player from Japan. Her husband was the enka singer Kenji Niinuma.

Career

Hiroe Yuki won her first Japanese champion in women's singles title in 1969. From 1972 to 1976 she won five individual titles in series.

In 1970, she won at the Asian Games gold medal in the women's singles 1974 silver. From 1969 to 1978 she was with the Japanese Uber Cup team four times in the final of this competition. The first two finals and won the last Japan, while in 1975 only to place two handed at this World Cup for women's teams. 1969, 1974, 1975 and 1977, she won the All England. At the 1972 Summer Olympics she won bronze in the badminton tournament, which was, however, carried out as a demonstration sport. The Badminton World Championship 1977 she won the bronze medal.

In 1986, she married Kenji Niinuma. From this marriage two children were born.
