Hiroshi Takahashi (table tennis)

Hiroshi Takahashi (高桥 浩Japanese, Hiroshi Takahashi, * around 1942 ) is a Japanese table tennis player who has been Asian champions in the 1960s, four times.

Career

Hiroshi Takahashi 1963 Asian champion in singles, doubles with Manji Fukushima and with the Japanese team. The following year he defended the title in the team competition, in single, he came to the semifinals and doubles with Hiroaki Ōhashi the final. In 1966 he won the Asian Games in double with Keiichi Miki and with the team.

In 1965 he was nominated for the World Cup. Here he won the men's team silver medal. In the 5-2 final defeat by China Takahashi took the two points for Japan. In the individual competitions he came in each case to the quarterfinals: Single, double with Ichirō Ogimura and mixed with Noriko Yamanaka.

In the ITTF World Ranking Hiroshi Takahashi was out on fourth place in mid-1965.

In 1967 he took part in a tournament in Canada. After 1967, he no longer appeared internationally in appearance.
