Hiroyuki Miura

Hiroyuki Miura (Japanese三浦 浩 幸, Hiroyuki Miura, born December 31, 1973 in Kushiro, Hokkaidō ) is a former Japanese hockey player. His older brother Takayuki Miura was also a professional hockey player.

Career

Hiroyuki Miura was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1992 in the eleventh round when a total of 260 players from the Canadiens de Montréal. He was the first Japanese man who had ever been selected in the NHL Entry Draft. For the Canadiens even though he never played. Instead, the defenders ran in the 1993/94 season on the Wheeling Thunderbirds in the ECHL. From 1994 to 2006 he played for the Kokudo Ice Hockey Club - first in the Japan Ice Hockey League and then from 2003 as successor competition Asia League Ice Hockey. The alih Championship title he won with Kokudo in the years 2005 and 2006 also. From 2006 to 2009 he played for the Seibu Prince Rabbits Kokudos succession team. Internationally
