His Best is a compilation album by Howlin 'Wolf and was released as part of MCA / Chess' 50th Anniversary series published in 1997.

General

With the exception of His Greatest Sides, Vol 1 from the early 1980s, there was no collection of Wolf's best recordings on a CD. This abuse has been eliminated with the CD, and it serves as an introduction to the work of Howlin ' Wolf. 11 of the 20 songs were written by Willie Dixon either or he is co-author. The first two tracks were originally recorded by Sam Phillips, who sold the master tapes to Chess Records.

The album was reissued under the title " The Definitive Collection " by Geffen Records in 2007.
