His brother is a French film drama directed by Patrice Chéreau from the year 2003. It is based on the novel by Philippe Besson.

Action

In February is a time Thomas at the door of his younger brother Luc. Both siblings have had for a long time no contact with each other. Now Thomas tells him that he suffers from a rare blood disease. He is sick for two years and has been cared for by his girlfriend Claire. Luc is shaken.

Thomas has a disease in which the platelets are destroyed by its own organism. Minor wounds heal so no more quickly, so that the patient could bleed to death in an emergency.
