Hisako, Princess Takamado

Princess Hisako of Takamado (Japanese高 円 宫 宪 仁 亲 王妃 久 子Takamado -no- miya Norihito Shinnōhi - Hisako; * July 10, 1953 in Tokyo ), born Hisako Tottori ( Tottori Hisako鸟取 久 子).

Life

She studied and graduated in 1975 at Girton College at Cambridge University. On September 17, 1984, she became engaged to Prince Norihito Takamado, married him on December 6, 1984, was given the title "Princess Takamado ". Both have three daughters:

  • Princess Tsuguko (承 子女 王, Tsuguko -Joo; born March 8, 1986)
  • Princess Noriko (典 子女 王, Noriko -Joo; born 22 July 1988)
  • Princess Ayako (绚 子女 王, Ayako -Joo; born 15 September 1990)

Tsuguko studied sociology at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, Noriko clinical psychology at Gakushuin University and Ayako welfare at the International Jōsai University.

She accompanied her husband on many trips abroad, so in May to June 2002, the opening of the Football World Cup in South Korea, which was hosted jointly by South Korea and Japan. Shortly after her husband died of heart failure.

Today Princess Takamado is active as president or honorary president of at least 23 organizations.
