Hiscox

Hiscox is an international insurance company with headquarters in Bermuda, which is listed on the London Stock Exchange ( LSE: HSX ).

History

Hiscox was founded in London, where the company started the business in the insurance market Lloyd 's of London. 1990 Hiscox plc. listed as a holding company on the London Stock Exchange, where it forms a part of the FTSE 250 Index. Since 1995, Hiscox has an office in Munich, which forms the headquarters of the German society today. In 2006, a branch added in Cologne and Hamburg in 2007. In 1996, the Hiscox plc. the Economic Insurance Company, which was then renamed Hiscox Insurance.

Products and Organization

Hiscox insured property loss directly and as liability insurance. Even professional liability insurance are offered.

The Hiscox Group is divided into three main areas:

• Hiscox London Market for international business in the London market, which must be drawn from several insurers, or need the international licenses of Lloyd's
• Hiscox UK and Europe for insurance for specific professions, business and private customers.
• Hiscox International, consisting of Hiscox Insurance Company Ltd, Hiscox Underwriting Ltd and Hiscox Syndicates Ltd are regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
