Hjalmar Hjorth Boyesen

Hjalmar Hjorth Boyesen ( born September 23, 1848 in Frederiksvärn, Norway, † 1895) was a Norwegian- American writer, especially a novelist.

Born the son of a military officer, he studied in Christiania especially modern languages ​​and went to the U.S. later. Where he held a professorship at Columbia University in New York.
