Hjalmar Mellander

Hjalmar Mellander ( Hjalmar Mellander Stefanus; born December 14, 1880 in Årstad, Falkenberg Municipality, † October 3, 1919 on the Isle of Man) was a Swedish athlete.

He was at the 1906 Summer Olympics in Athens Olympic champion in the pentathlon. He won with 24 points (at the time the points were added for placements in the individual disciplines ).

In the long jump he was in 1906 with 6,585 yards in fourth. Also, he was fourth in the javelin throw with 44.30 meters.
