Course

The Hluchová originates at Stożek saddle near the Polish border in the Silesian Beskids. Your source is located north of Velky Stożek / Stożek Wielki (978 m ) and south of the Stożek Maly / Maly Stożek (843 m). They first flows northwest through a deep wooded V-shaped valley where the settlements Stożek, Kolibiska, Setinka, Poledna and Hluchová are, after Nýdek. Between the settlements Brandys and Odmiarek the Hluchová at the northern foot of the Polední (656 m) changes its direction to the southwest.
