HMS Torbay

Several warships of the Royal Navy have been named HMS Torbay (see Torbay ):

  • HMS Torbay ( 1693) was a 80 -gun ship of the line of second class, which was launched in 1693 and 1749 was canceled.
  • HMS Torbay was a 90 -gun ship of the line of second class, which in 1683 under the name of HMS Neptune (1683 ) was launched, renamed 1750 in Torbay in 1785 and sold for scrapping.
  • HMS Torbay ( 1919) was a destroyer of the S-Class, which was launched in 1919, 1928 transferred to Canada, rename them in HMCS Champlain and in 1937 was sold for scrapping.
  • HMS Torbay ( N79 ) was a submarine of the T -Class, which was launched in 1940 and in 1945 it was sold for scrapping.
  • HMS Torbay ( S90 ) is a nuclear submarine of the Trafalgar class, which was launched in 1985 and still stands today in active use.
