Hòa Bình Dam

The Hoa Binh hydropower plant ( vietn.: Nha May Thuy Hòa Bình điện ) is located in Vietnam on the Black River ( Sông Da ) in the Province Hòa Bình near the eponymous town and about 60 to 70 km southwest of Hanoi. This largest hydroelectric power plant in Southeast Asia is operated by Electricity of Vietnam.

The Da, the most important tributary of the Red River, is here dammed by a 128 m high and 670 m long rockfill dam the biggest dam in Vietnam the Sông - Da reservoir.
