The Hochries is a 1569 m above sea level. NN high hill on the northern edge of the western Chiemgau Alps.

From the managed Hochries hut it offers an excellent view over the district of Rosenheim, the Simssee and Chiemsee, the Inn Valley and the surrounding mountains to the Grossglockner and the glaciers of the central Alps.
