Hohenloh

Hohenloh a newly formed district in the northeast of Detmold is approximately 1.5 km from the historic city center. After the withdrawal of the British Army of the Rhine in 1995, the area of the land on the British airfield Detmold was fed to a civilian use.

The grounds of the former air base, which the British Hobart Barracks, covers about 109 acres. Then there was an approximately 49 -acre airfield and the former use according crew and officers' quarters, administration buildings, aircraft hangars, workshops and social buildings.
