Hohenzell
High cell is a municipality with 2052 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in Upper Austria. It is located in the district of Ried in the Innviertel. The municipality is located in the judicial district of Ried.
Geography
High cell is at 478 m altitude in Innviertel. The expansion is 6.8 kilometers from north to south, from west to east 5.7 km. The total area is 22.6 km ². Of this, 10.2% is forested and 80.1% used for agriculture.

History
Since the establishment of the Duchy of Bavaria, the place was Bavarian until 1779 and came to the Peace of Teschen with the Innviertel (then ' Innbaiern ') to Austria. During the Napoleonic Wars shortly Bavarian, it belongs since 1814 finally to Upper Austria. After the annexation of Austria to the German Reich on 13 March 1938, the town belonged to the " Upper Danube ". After 1945 the restoration of Upper Austria.

In 1991, the municipality had 1870 inhabitants according to the census, in 2001 then 2002 inhabitants.
Volunteer fire
In the commune chief cell, there are a total of five volunteer fire (FF ), all of which were founded around the turn of the century: FF High cell (founded in 1879), FF Ponner (1892 ), FF Breiningsham (1911 ), FF Engersdorf (1919 ) and the FF Emprechting ( 1921).
