Hokuto, Hokkaido
Hokuto (Japanese北斗 市, -shi) is a city in the sub-prefecture on the island of Oshima Hokkaido (Japan).
Geography
Hokuto is located west of Hakodate.
The Ōno flows through the city from north to south.
History
Hokuto was on 1 February 2002 from the union of Chō Kamiiso (上 矶 町, -chō ) of the district Kamiiso and Ōno (大野 町, -chō ) of the district Kameda founded.
