Holger Hiemann

Holger Hiemann ( born January 12, 1968 in Karl- Marx-Stadt ) is a former German football goalkeeper, who played among others in the DDR - Oberliga and the Bundesliga.

Holger Hiemann began his career at FC Karl- Marx-Stadt (CFC ) in 1980 and played in 1987 in the GDR Oberliga.

With the juniors of FCK 1986 he was East German champion. In the same year he won the junior national team of East Germany, for which he played a total of eight matches, the U-18 European Championship in Yugoslavia. He also took part in the U- 20 World Cup 1987 in Chile, in which the German Democratic Republic was third. For the FC Karl- Marx-Stadt of 1.86 m wide Hiemann denied 44 DDR - Oberliga games and was team 1990 DDR - runner. His first DDR Oberliga game he graduated as a goalkeeper No 3 on 28 February 1987 in the encounter FCK - Energie Cottbus (0-0 ).

After the turn of FC Karl- Marx-Stadt has been renamed Chemnitz FC and played from 1991 Hiemann in the 2nd Bundesliga South and from 1992 in the single track 2nd Bundesliga. His first game in the 2nd league Hiemann completed on July 24, 1991 against 1 FSV Mainz 05 in Chemnitz, he was a regular player and has been used 91 times in four years.

In 1995 he moved to Hamburger SV in the Bundesliga. He had his first Bundesliga use on 8 December 1995 against Eintracht Frankfurt. In Hamburg he had only goalkeeper and came in two years to five appearances in the Bundesliga and the DFB Cup. After moving to VfL Wolfsburg 1997 Holger Hiemann completed six more Bundesliga games.

In 2001 he returned to Chemnitz FC in the Regionalliga Nord. There he played in the next three years, 64 times in the regional league and once in the DFB Cup.

Meanwhile Hiemann is active in his parent club Chemnitz FC as goalkeeper coach of the Regional team and in the offspring. In the season 2010/11 he is assistant coach of the D- youth of the CFC.
