Homero Alsina Thevenet

Homero Alsina Thevenet ( born August 6, 1922 in Montevideo, Uruguay, † December 12, 2005 ibid ), better known by his acronym HAS, was an Uruguayan journalist and writer.

Alsina Thevenet began in 1937 with the journalistic activities and focused initially on the area of ​​film reviews. He worked for Radio Cine Actualidad, Marcha, the magazine film and the daily newspaper El País. From 1965 to 1976 he lived in Buenos Aires. Being located in South America, the political situation changed, he went to Spain and settled from 1976 to 1984 in Barcelona. Then in 1984 he returned back to the Argentine capital, where he remained until 1989. In those years he worked for Panorama, Siete Dias, La Razon and Página/12. Since 1989, he had then in Montevideo the position of chief editor of which he founded El País Supplement El País Cultural held. This he remained until his death. Alsina Thevenet was also the author and co-author of numerous books, thematically grappled particularly with the film area. In 1992 he received the Premio Cóndor de Plata. In 2001 he received the part of the Cámara del Libro Uruguaya ( CUDL ) the Legión del Libro.
