Honda Freed

The Honda Freed is a van, which the Japanese automaker Honda has been producing since 2008. The Freed is based on the platform of the Honda Jazz, is the successor to the Honda Mobilio. It is offered in three different versions: one seven-seater version with individual seats in the second row, an eight -seater version and in a version with five seats. In addition, various Disabled versions are offered.

The Freed has a 1.5 liter engine with 118 hp, which is with a slightly different performance characteristics used in the Honda Jazz.

After the model was initially only available in Japan, it was released in March 2009 in Indonesia. At the local production site in Karawang Freed produced with 20 mm more ground clearance than in Japan. This variant is also exported to Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia.

Since January 2011, Freed's made ​​in Japan are also sold to Hong Kong, where, unlike in other export markets, the seven-seater version is also available.

In 2010, the Honda Freed finished fifth in the Japanese registration statistics, in 2011 the model was lying on the sixth place.
