Honeymoon in Vegas - but not with my bride (Original Title: Honeymoon in Vegas ) is an American comedy film from the year 1992 was directed by Andrew Bergman, who also wrote the screenplay.. The film starred James Caan, Nicolas Cage and Sarah Jessica Parker.
Action
The private detective Jack Singer swore his dying mother that he would never marry. Some years later he is still engaged to Betsy. Shortly before the wedding he agrees that his fiancee spends a weekend with the rich Tommy Korman, what should pay gambling debts from Jack.
Tommy Korman trying to win Betsy and marry her. He and Betsy travel to Hawaii, where Tommy tries to impress the woman. Jack comes across in a television as Betsy and Tommy watch a volcanic eruption and embrace. Because he wants to win back Betsy, he follows the two of them to Hawaii. There a paid Korman taxi driver leads him down the wrong path. Betsy agrees to marry Tommy, the wedding is to take place in Las Vegas.
To achieve Betsy, Jack joins a group of the double of Elvis Presley. The Presleys jump with parachutes on Las Vegas and land in the city. Jack wins Betsy back.
Reviews
Roger Ebert wrote in the Chicago Sun - Times on 28 August 1992, the film would include a large dose of stupidity ( goofiness ). Which occurs at the end of the film the group Presley would not be surprised, but follow the logic of the film; the action would be silly (dumb ) enough for a sitcom. Ebert praised the representation of Nicolas Cage.
