Hong Kong Park

The Hong Kong Park (Chinese香港 公园) is a public park in Central, Hong Kong. The park was opened in May 1991 and comprises 8 hectares.

In the park are several historic buildings that served as accommodation for officers of the British forces in Hong Kong. This includes built in 1846 Flagstaff House, seat of the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces in Hong Kong. Today is in the Flagstaff House, a tea museum.

Facilities at the park include:

  • Edward Youde Aviary, a 3 -acre, walk-in aviary with 100 birds
  • Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre, Art Exhibition
  • Hong Kong Park Sports Centre and Hong Kong Squash Centre, Sports Facilities
  • Olympic Square, amphitheater with 880 seats
