Honor Blackman

Honor Blackman ( born August 22, 1925 in London) is a British actress who gained Goldfinger fame with the role of Pussy Galore in the James Bond film.

Life

She began her career in 1948 and played from 1962 to 1964, the role of Dr. Catherine Gale in the British television series The Avengers (Eng. The Avengers and melon) as a partner of John Steed (Patrick Macnee ); she was the direct predecessor of Diana Rigg in her role as Emma Peel. After many years in film and on stage Honor Blackman was for a short time to see again in September 2004 in a television series: She played the role of Rula Romanoff in the British series Coronation Street.

In 1964, she was to play her most famous role. The role in Goldfinger she got on the authority of Albert R. Broccoli because of its reputation in the UK as Dr. Gale. Honor Blackman was married twice: from 1946 to 1956 with Bill Sankey and from 1963 to 1975 with the British actor Maurice Kaufmann, with whom she performed in the film Fright ( 1971), and with whom she adopted two children ( Barnaby and Lottie ).

In 2002, she should be honored as a Commander of the British Empire (CBE ), but they refused.
